JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY

KRAKOW (PL)

Kraków is one of the most prominent academic centres in Poland. With over 200,000 students coming to study here every year, of whom 40 000 study at the Jagiellonian University. Kraków is the historical capital of Poland; it is very deeply rooted in Polish tradition and culture. There is almost a tangible feel of history in the atmosphere of Kraków, while at the same time it is also very vivid and teeming with life.
Kraków is famous for its UNESCO sites (the old town with the royal castle, the Kazimierz Jewish Quarter, and the nearby salt mine in Wieliczka).
